The German-Ukrainian Building and Construction Center is a project officially registered with the German and Ukrainian Departments of Commerce. The project's purpose is to strengthen the growing economic ties between the building and construction industries of both countries. During the startup phase that was concluded at the end of 2003, the project had pilot status. The non-profit Eberhard-Schöck-Stiftung (ESST or Eberhard Schöck Foundation) based in Baden-Baden/Germany is responsible for the project and its management.
During the initial phase, the project was chiefly financed through the German federal government's "Transform" program; the Federal Ministry for Commerce and Technology was the awarding authority. The mandatary was the Reconstruction Loan Foundation (KfW) based in Frankfurt am Main/Germany. Since 2004, the project has been chiefly financed by the Eberhard-Schöck-Stiftung.
Its offerings are open to the building and construction trades in eastern and western states. For the year 2005, we have again planned many events on various topics.
